An Original Research (OR) article involves selecting a novel research question and using a standard scientific methodology to collect and analyse new data. After the statistical analysis, the findings are written into a structured manuscript following reporting guidelines such as STROBE.
How does it differ from Narrative Review? A Narrative Review does not involve new data collection; instead, it summarises and critiques previously published studies without statistical analysis.
